Chakra Meditation

Hi Everybody,

Here is a very good Chakra meditation I have used which has helped open them
up and cleanse them. Try it out if you've not found any to work for you or can follow easily so far (although they are all similar) as I think it's something to do with how it's explained myself.

Chakras are the energy centres that connect your aura to your physical body. The aura links your physical body, emotional and mental body to the cosmos which sends us information, light and love from the rest of the universe, our soul families, guardian angels and Source, God.

Close your eyes and breath in and out very deeply in a continuous fashion and bring your attention to the area at the base of your spine. This is your Root/Base Chakra and is Red in colour.

Now as you breath in and out imagine this energy centre as a circle, expanding with every breath in. Imagine the air cleansing it and making it shine brighter. This will help to balance your energy centre.

Now do the same in this order for the following 6 Chakras:

· The Sacral Chakra, four inches above the Root chakra and is Orange in colour

· The Solar Plexus Chakra, where your stomach area is and is Yellow in colour,

· The Heart Chakra, which is in your heart area and is Emerald Green in colour,

· The Throat Chakra, where your throat is and is Light Blue in colour,

· The Third Eye/Brow Chakra, which is between your eyes and is Purple in colour,

· The Crown Chakra, at the top of your head which is Violet in colour.

Once you have expanded all of these energy centres you should feel cosmic energy flowing up your body like a rush of light. This is the energy from Source (which we are always connected to) flowing freely through your body as it is now unblocked and balanced in harmony.

Good start on this one hun!

Although, I'm not a fan of the violet flame thing at the end of it, and the crown is more violet in color than purple btw.

Hi SoulWhisperer,

I have to agree with you there. It was the author of the meditation who placed the colours in those chakra points. I did question why there was the dark blue appointed for the brow chakra. However, I have adjusted it to what I always knew the colours to be and have also removed the 'I am violet flame' part too. I was going to replace that section with the gold ball of light but wasn't too sure.

Thank you for posting this SoulM! I always wondered about the Chakra thing and I'm glad someone explained how to cleanse them in a way I can understand and follow through with! I appreciate your useful posts and look forward to reading more in the future!

Interesting, I always view them as the following; root is red, sacral is orange, solar plexus is yellow, heart is green, throat is blue, third eye is indigo and the crown is purple, and sometimes there is another above the crown that's kind of white.

I guess this all depends on who you learn from.

I have been trying to meditate in my house - so much stimulation going on here - it makes it difficult to meditate. I tried this last night and I couldn't get past orange because I would start thinking about other stuff. I will try this again. A very peaceful feeling.. Thank for your post.
