Meditating

This is how I meditate:

I go into the quietest room of the house, turn off the main light and use the stairway one with the door of the room I am in fully open.

I sit at my desk, and just let everything out of my mind. Deep breathing is important too, as this helps to clear the mind.

I stay there for about 30mins or so... just relaxing. Usually, at the end of meditation I feel really relaxed, and ready to face the rest of the day.

I can pretty much only get any meditating done when either of the following is true;

1> I am in bed and it's been a good night

2> I'm on the farm and have my bare feet in the dirt/grass.

I'm not home yet - still with my father until he wakes up...but I would like to post some guided meditations and perhaps some in a chat....Great stuff and will give you more of a visual in which to seek answers to questions you might have.....

I was just talking about this elsewhere, and I thought a little more about meditation.

For me it seems to be much easier when there's trance music, like Pendulum and other more trance-heavy stuff; or, sometimes when I'm taking a bath or am sort of tired, I find it easier to space out and get closer to a meditative and even state.

I find that when I do this I get bright golden rings that distort my vision as they either come from me and expand away, or do the opposite; it also is like I can feel them.

Any ideas what that might be?

Luin, I am thinking that these have to do with your chakras...although the color yellow seems odd for your thrid eye. I think this is worth exploring the chakras while in meditation to see if you can again invoke this same sensation. Are you familiar with opening and closing chakras?

As far as I know, I am familiar with it.

I can bring it on intentionally as well, but I don't really know why it is that it's gold or anything like that. It's been happening since before I was awake and open to all of this, I can remember it as far back as early high school (anything before that I have a crappy memory for... I have a crappy memory anyway).

I know that the third eye is generally associated with indigo, and I have had the same experience with this; whatever this gold is ... still unknown to me. I'd like to see if someone else picks up on it when it happens to me at some point.

Okay... I've made a blunder.

There I was the other evening... and sitting bolt-upright on my swivel chair, meditating.

Silly old wizard... I dozed off... next thing I know, I woke up with a bang, and me with my nose to the floor!!!

See.. it really does help you to relax! rofl

Oh Amergin, what are we ever going to do with you? Falling off your chair in the middle of the night!

Seems the only time right now where or when or prepare myself to meditate is while I am driving. Sometimes - this is weird - but I see things when I am driving and meditating...
