So I wrote this poem back when I was 18 and it was written about a friend of mine that I liked back then and he freaked when he found out I liked him, but this poem is still one of my faves!

Untitled
I'm trying to get over you
I want to leave
Lets go back to the way it was
Forgetting us I try to achieve
Lets be friends
That's it, no more
am going out the door
I can't do this, not again
Not having feelings I can't pretend
This is hard to do
I can't help it
I love you
So now I will try to forget
It's not an easy task I'll admit
So now I say lets be friends
I don't want to go through the pain again
I think I did it, I think I'm through
I think I'm finally over you
Then you come into the room
I feel my heart drop and boom
This is harder than I thought
I'm a little distraught
I guess now I know, I'll never be through
I'll never be totally over you
But I'll keep trying
I'll go out with other guys
Maybe I'll fall in love with one of them
But I'll never be fully over you
I gave my heart away I'll admit
The way I feel is hard to forget
So I'll go with him
Once I leave I won't come back
When the feelings are gone they won't return
If you want it or not, eventually you'll learn
Well I'm going now
I'll talk to you later
We'll be friends now
I'm fine, I'm not hurt
My new guy is great
Some things never change
You can't be beat
Now I hold my heart tighter than before
Thank you for opening a door
I leave you now better than before
I'm glad we're friends
Even though we've had so many dwists and bends
Thank you for showing me what you did
Now say thank you for being my friend

I know it's a little cheesy but it's how I felt. I haven't ever lost that poem and I take pride in it, thank you for letting me share Smile

Ash Honey, This is a sweet innocent poem. Wooga woogs!

You can see how far you have come learning what it means to love and be loved. How far you have come in life with those experiences of young love which evolve. Amazing isn't it how we feel and think about things at a certain age/time in our lives and how it changes as we grow.

A lovely way to express love and it's affect on you.

Awww thanks SoulM! I appreciate it. I have come a long way. It took me a long time, but I'm glad that I got through it and I still wouldn't change that feeling and what happened even though it did hurt a bit when I went through it! *hugs*
